Euro Rates - Better Than The Banks

The major high street banks have huge overheads and the bottom line is they need to take a higher percentage on the Euro exchange rate on every transaction they make. More money for them and less in your pocket!
Our approach is to search the foreign exchange markets is to pinpoint the best rates available, so we can notify you when it is most advantageous for you to exchange.

History of the Euro Exchange Rate

Attempts to create a single currency for Europe go back 20 years. In January 1999 the Euro was launched as an electronic currency and in early 2002 the first Euro notes became legal tender.
Since July 1999, printing works and mints have produced 14.5 billion banknotes and more than 56 billion Euro coins.

Twelve of the 15 EU countries (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Finland, Greece and Ireland) are members of the Euro-zone. On 1 January 2002 the Euro replaced the old national currencies and the Euro began trading against the US Dollar and GBP (Pounds Sterling).

The main aims of the introduction of the single currency Euro was to make it easier for traveling and for businesses to trade with one another across Europe. The launch of the cash Euro has wide-ranging effects on 300 million EU citizens from Dublin to Rome and also the millions of tourists who visit Europe annually.
